A gathering of Shiv Sena Shinde faction MLAs took place at a Mumbai hotel today following the outcome of Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024. The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The meeting saw the approval of four resolutions. The key resolution was the unanimous decision to designate Eknath Shinde as the leader of the team.
Minister Uday Samant proposed a motion to name Shinde as the leader of the group. All members approved the proposal with no objections. A resolution that began 27 months ago was not by chance that it transformed into a significant win in Maharashtra, as stated in the meeting. Today marks the beginning of a new era for Maharashtra, as it moves forward from a mix of both positive and negative experiences.
In the latest assembly elections, the Mahayuti secured an unprecedented victory with the strong guidance of their prominent leader Eknath Shinde. The grand coalition’s triumph will echo for an extended period. Simultaneously, another resolution declares that insults, curses, and false accusations are all in the past. Today, there is a sense among all that the Shiv Sena’s golden era has now commenced. Our leader Eknath Shinde deserves all the credit for this amazing success. Each one of us is contributing to the progress of Maharashtra as we move ahead.
Maharashtra sees us as the frontrunner in workers’ rights, champion of social justice, designer of economic equality, and a forward-thinking leader who has brought the vision of a contemporary Maharashtra to life. The grand alliance’s success demonstrates our efforts. The Maharashtra Assembly election results were declared on Saturday. In the results, the Mahayuti alliance, also known as BJP alliance, has achieved a resounding victory.
During the elections, BJP secured victory in 132 seats, Shiv Sena in 57, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP in 41 seats. Viewing it from this perspective, Mahayuti has achieved 230 seats independently, surpassing the majority threshold by a significant margin. Simultaneously, the Mahavikas Aghadi opposition coalition has faced a significant loss. During the election, Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav, secured 20 seats, the Congress party won 16 seats, while Sharad Pawar’s NCP only managed to win 10 seats. Viewed from this perspective, the complete team of Mahavikas Aghadi fell short of reaching the 50-seat mark.
