Ayesha Takia's latest Instagram post grabbed a lot of attention.

Earlier in the year, Ayesha Takia, known for her roles in films such as Dil Maange More, Dor, No Smoking, Wanted, Salaam-E-Ishq, and Paathshaala, was seen at the Mumbai airport alongside her son after being away from the public eye for some time. At that moment, she openly criticized those critiquing her appearance. Recently, Ayesha has once again become the center of attention due to her appearance, leading her to deactivate her Instagram account amid new waves of trolling and speculation regarding ‘plastic surgery’.

This speculation was sparked after she shared a photo in a traditional blue and gold saree on August 19, leading some social media users to comment that she appeared unrecognizable, suggesting she had plastic surgery. Amid the ongoing discussions about her altered appearance, she has taken the step to deactivate her Instagram account.

Unlike her response in February of the same year, where she addressed people’s fixation on her appearance and the rumours of her possible return to acting, Ayesha has yet to comment on this recent issue.

Ayesha is married to Farhan Azmi, a restaurateur and the son of politician Abu Azmi. Together, they have a son named Mikail.

In February 2024, she posted on Instagram to share a personal ordeal, explaining her rushed trip to Goa due to a family medical emergency. Despite the situation, she recounted being stopped by photographers and striking a quick pose before her departure. She expressed her frustration over the excessive focus on her looks instead of more pressing issues, stating her disinterest in returning to the film industry or seeking fame. She emphasized her contentment with her life away from the public eye and urged people to shift their attention elsewhere.

She criticized the unrealistic expectations for her to look the same as she did 15 years ago and dismissed the negative comments about her appearance. Ayesha advocated for a more fulfilling use of time than scrutinizing others, encouraging positivity and self-improvement.
