Asia Index Private Ltd., which is fully owned subsidiary of BSE, on Friday announced the introduction of three new indices – the BSE SENSEX Sixty 65:35, the BSE SENSEX Sixty, and the BSE Power and Energy Index

These indices are consistent with the larger BSE group philosophy, which emphasizes listening to customer feedback and developing products that appeal to both asset managers and investors. Ashutosh Singh, MD and CEO of Asia Index Pvt Limited, stated, “These launches are a small step in expanding our offerings, and we hope to continue bringing more meaningful products by working very closely with capital market participants.”

The components of BSE SENSEX and BSE SENSEX Next 30 make up BSE SENSEX Sixty 65:35, a strategy index, at the corresponding ratios of 65:35. More over half of the entire free float market capitalization of all listed companies in India is comprised of the 60 members.

In comparison to the pure freefloat market capitalization strategy, the ratio is intended to provide a little larger exposure to the Next 30 constituents.

The components of the BSE SENSEX and the BSE SENSEX Next 30 are arranged in the BSE SENSEX Sixty index according to their free float market capitalization.

The indices were originally valued on June 23, 2014, and their base value is 10,000. It undergoes semi-annual reconstitution and periodic rebalancing. BSE SENSEX Sixty USD and BSE SENSEX Sixty 65:35 USD are its USD variants.
