While Apple has said that the whole Apple Intelligence suite would not be ready until iOS 18.4 in March 2025, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman writes that some AI-powered Siri features may be available sooner.

According to Gurman’s newsletter, Apple may release certain Siri changes earlier than planned, maybe with the iOS 18.3 update in January. However, he points out that this has not yet been confirmed and that Apple’s plans may change.

Apple has announced the progressive distribution of its Apple Intelligence features.

October: iOS 18.1 introduces initial AI functionality.

iOS 18.2 was released in December, bringing more enhancements.

January: Possible Siri enhancements in iOS 18.3.

The Apple Intelligence package will be completed in March 2025 with iOS 18.4 release.

The most significant AI-powered features, as demonstrated at Apple’s WWDC 2024 and iPhone 16 launch event, are expected to be fully implemented in Q1 2025 with iOS 18.4.

These include enhanced authoring capabilities, object removal from photographs, and AI-powered picture synthesis.

It is estimated that by March 2025, Apple will have overcome regulatory concerns in the EU, allowing for the full deployment of Apple Intelligence capabilities in the area. The likelihood of early Siri advancements with iOS 18.3 may shed light on Apple’s larger AI goals for its devices and services.
