WhatsApp has become the preferred messaging program for billions of people worldwide. While the platform provides a smooth communication experience, initiating conversations often needs the storage of contact information. However, there are times when you may need to send a message without adding the number to your contact list.

Here are five easy ways to send WhatsApp messages without keeping the number:

Method 1: Use the WhatsApp Application

Open WhatsApp and copy the mobile number you wish to message.

Tap the “New Chat” button, then choose your name from “WhatsApp Contacts.

Enter the mobile number in the text field and click “Send.”

Tap the cellphone number; if the individual uses WhatsApp, you’ll get a “Chat with” option.

Tap “Chat with” to start a conversation.

Method 2: Creating a Link in your Browser

Open your browser (mobile or desktop).

Paste the following link into the address bar: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=xxxxxxxxxx

Replace “xxxxxxxxxx” with your cell number, including the country code (e.g., http://wa.me/919876543210).

To enter the WhatsApp conversation window, press Enter and then hit “Continue to Chat”.

Method 3: Use the Truecaller App

Launch the Truecaller app and search for the phone number.

Scroll down and choose the WhatsApp symbol next to the number.

This will open a WhatsApp chat window with that number.

Method 4: Use Google Assistant (Android)

Turn on Google Assistant and say, “Send a WhatsApp to [mobile number with country code].” (e.g., “Send a WhatsApp to +919876543210” ).

Dictate the message you wish to send.

Google Assistant will send a WhatsApp message to the selected number.

Method 5: Use Siri Shortcuts (iPhone)

Launch the Siri Shortcuts app.

Go to “Settings” > “Shortcuts” and turn on “Allow Untrusted Shortcuts.”

Download the “WhatsApp to Non-Contact” shortcut (search online or follow the link provided).

Add the shortcut and enter your phone number to launch a new WhatsApp chat window.
