Samsung’s forthcoming One UI 7 upgrade, set for early 2025, is expected to offer a slew of new features, including an AI-powered notification summary feature similar to Apple’s. However, development delays may delay the release of the Galaxy S25 series, which is typically accompanied by significant software advancements from Samsung.
In a recent post on X, tech tipster chunvn8888 revealed that Samsung’s beta version of One UI 7 includes a notification summary feature called “AI Notification.” The feature is presently only available in Korean and is most likely still being tested. According to the description, the functionality functions similarly to Apple’s Notification Summary.
Apple’s Notification Summary helps users manage their notifications by presenting brief summaries of grouped alerts, making it easy to stay up to date on information from the same sources. Samsung’s version may include its own tweaks, which could improve how Galaxy users interact with notifications.
Aside from the AI notification addition, Samsung has been working on a new user interface for One UI 7, which will have revised app icons, an improved quick-toggles menu, a refined lock screen control area, and a redesigned camera interface. If these reports are true, the software update might drastically improve the look and feel of Galaxy handsets.

The debut of One UI 7 is likely to coincide with the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, which is expected in January 2025. However, insiders say Samsung’s development timeline has been pushed back, leaving developers and beta testers waiting for the first beta release of One UI 7. This delay could affect the launch date of the S25 series, since Samsung may
prioritize an on-time software update over hardware announcements.
For the time being, the AI notification feature appears to be limited to Samsung’s flagship models, with mid-range handsets excluded from the upgrade process. With the official One UI 7 launch still a few months away, Galaxy fans can expect a more refined and perhaps feature-rich announcement in early 2025.
