Ranveer Allahbadia, a renowned podcaster and influencer known as BeerBiceps, has had his YouTube accounts restored following a hacking event on September 25. The hackers removed all of the videos from both channels and changed them with titles related to Tesla CEO Elon Musk and US presidential candidate Donald Trump. One channel was renamed “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and the other “@Tesla.event.trump_2024,” and both included content praising Musk and Trump.

Following the breach, YouTube temporarily disabled the channels, leaving a “404 not found” page. However, both channels have been completely restored to their original material.

Although the “Ranveer Allahbadia” and “BeerBiceps” channels are back up with their original movies, there is still a malfunction on the “Home” part of both pages, which says, “This channel doesn’t have any content.” Despite this, all videos are available in different areas of the channels.

The “Ranveer Allahbadia” channel, which has 9.4 million members, has restored all of its 111 videos. The channel, renowned for “The Ranveer Show” podcast, provides conversations with important personalities in Bollywood, entrepreneurship, and numerous other sectors.

The “BeerBiceps” channel, Allahbadia’s first YouTube effort, had 280 videos restored, although it is now displayed with the temporary identity “@MyChannel-e4p.” Originally centered on fitness, the channel now covers a wider range of topics.

Ranveer Allahbadia addressed the incident in a series of Instagram postings, recognizing the intrusion while assuring his fans that everything was under control. He underlined that the situation was not a PR gimmick and that his team was working with YouTube to remedy the issue. How to keep your YouTube channel and social media accounts safe from such hacks

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) – Protect your account by enabling 2FA, which needs both your password and a verification number delivered to your phone or created by an authentication app. Use strong and unique passwords. Avoid using easy or repetitive passwords. Instead, make complicated combinations of letters, numbers, and symbols.

Beware of Phishing Scams – Always be wary of emails or texts requesting login credentials or personal information. Hackers frequently employ phishing methods to deceive you into disclosing critical information. Limit Third-Party App Access – Allow only trusted applications and services to access your YouTube account. Unauthorized or unsecured apps might expose weaknesses, making it simpler for hackers to compromise your account.

Regularly Monitor Account behavior – Check your account’s login history for any unexpected behavior. If you detect anything unusual, change your password right away and double-check your recovery information, such as your backup email or phone number, for correctness.
