Oura has officially unveiled the Oura Ring 4, the fourth iteration of their famous health-tracking wearable, which includes Smart Sensing technology for increased accuracy and personalization. The Oura Ring 4 has a sleek, lightweight titanium shell and promises a better, more comfortable fit while expanding on its already impressive health-tracking features.

The new Oura Ring 4 is built around a ground-breaking Smart Sensing platform that employs powerful algorithms to provide continuous and accurate health data. The ring’s sensors have been modified, with eight to 18 signal routes to collect a variety of health indicators such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality. These sensors adjust to the wearer’s finger shape and size, making the data more dependable in diverse scenarios. 

Smart Sensing not only improves the accuracy of health tracking, but also extends the battery life of the ring, which can now last up to eight days on one charge. The technology now integrates seamlessly with the revamped Oura App, allowing users to quickly track short-term and long-term health trends.

Expanded features and redesigned app

The Oura Ring 4 comes in 12 sizes and six color variants, including brushed silver, gold, rose gold, and an updated glossy black finish. The ring has some capabilities, including automated activity recognition, heart rate monitoring, and new tools for measuring stress, sleep, and female health measures.

Along with hardware enhancements, Oura has redesigned its mobile app to create a more natural experience. The app now contains sections such as “Today,” which displays daily health ratings, and “My Health,” which examines long-term patterns. Oura has also expanded its portfolio with additional features including stress management tools, exercise detection, and women’s health insights, including fertility monitoring.

Pricing and availability.

The Oura Ring 4 is available for pre-order for $349, with shipment commencing October 15 in the United States. The ring is available for purchase on Oura’s website and at select shops such as Amazon, Best Buy, and John Lewis in the UK. The Oura Ring 4 offers a one-month free membership, following which customers can subscribe to Oura’s services for $5.99.
