Kia India has officially begun its 2.0 transformation plan, introducing the highly anticipated EV9 and Carnival Limousine. The event, known as Kia Inspiration Day, commemorated the debut of these two premium automobiles, emphasizing a dramatic leap in new technology, luxury, and sustainability. The EV9 is priced at Rs 1,29,90,000, while the Carnival Limousine costs Rs 63,90,000.
EV9: A Flagship for Electric Mobility
Kia’s flagship electric SUV, the EV9, is intended to create new worldwide benchmarks in automotive technology. The EV9, recently selected as the World Car of the Year 2024, is powered by a powerful 99.8 kWh battery that provides an astounding range of up to 561 kilometers on a single charge. The EV9’s ultra-fast charging capabilities enable the battery to be recharged.
The EV9 also comes with Kia Connect 2.0, an innovative platform that easily connects with smart devices and provides over-the-air (OTA) updates for software and car diagnostics. Its futuristic appearance, based on the ‘Opposites United design concept, includes a digital pattern lighting grille and a Trinity panoramic display for an immersive driving experience. Safety is a major concern, with 44 controller modules and 27 ADAS technologies to ensure a secure and connected ride.
Carnival Limousine is redefining luxury on the road
The Carnival Limousine blends elegance and technology in a way that appeals to affluent customers seeking an immersive driving experience. The Carnival Limousine oozes elegance and sophistication, with its distinctive black and chrome tiger-nose grille and R18 Diamond Cut alloy wheels. The inside is remarkable, including Tuscan and Umber two-tone leatherette seats, motorized relaxation chairs in the second row, and twin panoramic screens.
The Carnival Limousine is designed with passenger comfort in mind, with ventilated and heated seats, a sophisticated 12-speaker BOSE sound system, and cutting-edge safety technologies such as 23 Level 2 ADAS capabilities. Kia Connect 2.0 with V2X Technology
Kia Connect 2.0 is at the heart of Kia’s 2.0 reinvention, putting sophisticated connectivity and OTA updates front and center. This enables Kia to diagnose and repair automobiles remotely, hence minimizing the need for dealership visits. Furthermore, the EV9 has Kia’s Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology, which merges digital lifestyles with the driving experience, allowing users to access a variety of smart functions while on the road.
Because of the V2X technology, the EV9 is the first car in India that can charge external gadgets while driving, due to its car-to-load (V2L) capability. Kia intends to expand this revolutionary function to other vehicles as it evaluates the Indian market’s preparedness for this degree of connection.
