Apple has announced its latest Mac mini in India, which boasts excellent performance, a small design, and environmentally friendly features at a cheap price. The desktop, powered by Apple’s latest M4 and M4 Pro CPUs, provides significant speed and efficiency gains, making it an appealing alternative for students, professionals, and daily users.
The Mac mini with M4 is priced at ₹59,900, and the M4 Pro model costs ₹1,49,900. Educational discounts lower prices to ₹49,900 and ₹1,39,900, respectively. Pre-orders are presently open, with availability in retailers beginning on November 8th.
Apple’s M4 CPU provides up to 1.8 times the processing power and twice the graphics capability of the previous M1 model. For those who require better performance, the M4 Pro processor offers faster speeds and more processing power, making it ideal for demanding activities like video editing, 3D rendering, and other professional workflows.
The new Mac mini has several connectivity possibilities. Notably, the M4 Pro model includes Thunderbolt 5 connections for the first time, which doubles data transfer speeds around the previous Thunderbolt 4 standard. It also has USB-C, HDMI, Ethernet, and an audio jack for convenient connecting of many devices.
Apple’s introduction focuses heavily on sustainability. The new Mac mini is Apple’s first carbon-neutral computer, made from 50% recycled materials and produced using renewable energy. Apple has also switched to fiber-based packaging, which reduces plastic waste.
Another new feature is Apple Intelligence, which provides AI-powered tools for rewriting text, summarizing content, and producing graphics while protecting users’ privacy. In December, Apple plans to increase these capabilities by integrating ChatGPT to boost productivity and deliver real-time assistance. The new Mac mini supports multiple displays, with the M4 model powering up to two 6K displays and the M4 Pro model supporting three 6K screens, making it perfect for multi-monitor users.
