Ramon Bopanna and his Australian partnership Matthew Ebden have qualified for the coveted season-ending ATP Finals, which would be the Indian’s fourth trip in the tournament. The Indo-Aussie combination earned their spot after Benjamin Lammons and Taylor Withrow were ousted at the Rolex Paris Masters, completing the 2024 lineup. Turin’s elite lineup will also include Wesley Koolhof/Nikola Mektic, Kevin Krawietz/Tim Puetz, Harri Heliovaara/Henry Pat Ten Alberto Arevalo/Mate Pavic, Marc Granollers/Horacio Zeballos, Simone Bolelli/Andrea Vavassori, and Max Purcell/Jordan Hopkins.

The ATP Finals, held from November 10 to 17 at the Inalpi Arena, will feature only the world’s top eight doubles teams. Bopanna and Ebden began their season with a bang, winning the Australian Open, making the Indian the oldest man at 43 years and 331 days to become world number one.

Bopanna and Ebden later added the Miami Open championship to their resumes. They also advanced to the final in Adelaide and the semifinals in Roland Garros. This is their second consecutive year of qualifying for the ATP Finals; in 2023, they reached the semi-finals in Turin before being defeated by Granollers and Zeballos. Bopanna is looking forward to his first ATP Finals championship, thus this event is really important for him.

He previously made it to the finals in 2012 with Mahesh Bhupathi and again in 2015 with Florin Mergea.Bopanna’s ATP Finals debut came in 2011 with Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.
