Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola stated that it was his obligation to find a way to cope without crucial midfielder Rodri, who is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a major knee injury. The Spaniard left City’s 2-2 Premier League match with Arsenal on Sunday due to a probable anterior cruciate ligament damage in his right knee.
“Rodri will be sidelined for quite some time. There are some opinions that it will be less than we think, but regrettably, he was hurt, and right now, we’re waiting for the final phone calls from him and the doctors to know precisely what he has and the sort of operation he needs.”
Guardiola admits the absence is a major setback, but he believes City, who have won four straight Premier League championships, can stay competitive. “We’ll have a good season; I believe in my players. “I have a responsibility to find a solution,” he continued.
