Kazakhstan won the silver medal in the women’s tournament, while the United States secured third place.
In the tournament’s final round, the Indian men’s team, which included D Gukesh, R Praggnanandhaa, Arjun Erigaisi, Vidit Gujrathi, and Pentala Harikrishna, beat Slovenia to win gold. Gukesh and Arjun’s victories gave India a 2-0 lead and secured the gold medal. Praggnanandhaa went on to win his game, while Vidit drew his, giving India a 3.5-0.5 victory.
