Mansi Ahlawat won bronze to extend India’s medal-winning streak at the World Championships, while the men’s freestyle and greco-roman wrestlers will leave empty-handed. She lost her semifinal 1-4 to the country’s Sukhee Tserenchimed after winning three straight bouts on Wednesday.

Manisha Bhanwala (65kg) was also on the podium but lost the bronze medal play-off 2-8 to Japan’s Miwa Morikawa. Manisha has regained her place in contention after defeating Mongolia’s Enkhjin Tuvshinjargal 7-2 in her rematch.

Kirti (55kg) and Bipasha (72kg) were both eliminated before the medal round. In men’s freestyle, Sandeep Mann (92kg) advanced to the repechage round but lost to Slovakia’s Btyrbek Tsakuklov due to technical superiority.
