Indian rifle and pistol shooters took home two bronze medals in their respective 10m mixed team categories at the ISSF Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru. The bronze medals won on day two of the International Shooting Sport Federation tournament brought India’s total to five (two gold and three bronze). The rifle shooters went first, and Gautami Bhanot and Ajay Malik finished third out of 34 couples with a cumulative score of 628.9 after 30 rounds apiece. The result qualified them for the bronze medal match against the fourth-placed Croatian pair of Anamarija Turk and Darko Tomasevic, which they won 17-9.

China earned their first gold medal in the competition, defeating France in the final. The second Indian pairing, Abhinav Shaw and Shambhavi Kshirsagar, finished sixth overall with a score of  628.1. In the mixed pistol event, both Indian pairs placed third and fourth in the qualification round, setting up a bronze battle between themselves.

In the end, Lakshita and Parmod defeated Kanishka Dagar and Mukesh Nelavali, 16-8. Germany went on to win gold, while Ukraine received silver. Listen to the newest songs only on JioSaavn.com.
