India is poised to make its debut in the FIFA World Cup 2024 featuring eFootball, which will take place at the SEF Arena, Boulevard Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia, from December 9 to 12. The World Cup, which will take place as part of the FIFAe Finals 2024 in Riyadh, will include competitions on both console and mobile platforms. Chin May Sahoo, Ibrahim Gulrez, and Saksham Rattan are playing for India in the FIFA World Cup (Console), whereas Danial Shakeel Patel will be the only Tigers representative in the FIFA World Cup (Mobile).

The domestic qualifications for the FIFA World Cup took place in October, with participants from all over the country competing in three rounds of in-game tournaments. The top qualifying athletes from the FIFAe Ranking list based on the online qualifying results were invited to online trials, after which the squad was chosen.

India has been placed in Group A for both the console and mobile competitions. In the Console event, they will compete against Korea Republic, Spain, and France on December 9, as well as Poland, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and England on December 10.

The Tigers will compete in the Mobile event against England, Japan, Indonesia, and Spain on December 9 and the Korean Republic, Costa Rica, and Brazil on December 10. The semifinals and semi-finals of both editions of the game will take place on December 11, followed by the final on December 12.

The FIFA World Cup Console matches will be played in a 2v2 style on PC with PlayStation 5 controllers in particular, while the FIFA World Cup Mobile matches will be played on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G smartphone. India’s group stage and quarterfinal matches will be live-streamed on the official Indian Football channels on YouTube and Twitch.
