In Group B4, Wales’ 4-1 victory over Iceland secured immediate promotion to the top flight at the expense of Turkey, who lost 3-1 in Montenegro. The Czech Republic won 2-1 over Georgia to first place in Group B1. Ukraine defeated Albania, leapfrogging Georgia into second place. In Budapest, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann made changes after his team secured first place last week with a 7-0 thrashing of Bosnia.
