Amit Thackeray, son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray, appears to have no respite in his bid for the Mahim assembly seat in the Maharashtra assembly elections. Even though the Bharatiya Janata Party had expressed their support, Sada Sarvankar of the Shiv Sena Shinde faction declared on Friday that he will run for the seat. He will not pull out of the race.

This is the first time Amit Thackeray, son of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, is running for election in this constituency. At the same time, Sada Sarvankar is running as a candidate from the Shiv Sena’s Shinde division. Mahesh Sawant has been selected as the candidate representing Maha Vikas Aghadi.
It is performing that action. Reports have indicated that BJP has reached out to Shiv Sena, however, Sada Sarvankar has declined BJP’s offer.
Sarvankar has explicitly stated that he will not retreat. He mentioned that there exists a maternal bond between this electoral district and myself. This must remain intact. I will not take back my name.
It has been stated by Sarwankar that I am present in this constituency every day of the year, indicating that a showdown between Amit Thackeray and Sarwankar is likely to occur in this area.
The Chief Minister pressured Sada Sarwankar to pull out his candidacy. He has responded to this as well. There is no truth to this; I am the chosen candidate of Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP. AB form cannot be accessed without blessings. I have completed the form and received the people’s approval.
At the same time, Sarwankar has also shared details regarding Raj Thackeray’s arrival. I have requested a meeting with Raj Thackeray sir and will meet him when he gives me time. I desire for him to bestow his blessings upon me. I will ask him, there exists a mother-son bond in this district. Sarwankar advised to prevent them from shattering.
