Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s standing in the NDA government as Agriculture Minister appears to be on the rise. Reports indicate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given him a new task, which involves examining the government’s new and current projects nationwide. Indeed, PM Modi has assembled a fresh group, led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Not long ago, a meeting at a high level took place on this matter, with the attendance of numerous senior officials at the secretary level.
The team led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who served as the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh three times before becoming the agriculture minister, will convene a monthly review meeting. The meeting will take place at the Prime Minister’s Office, focusing on the progress of various government schemes. Officials present at the meeting reported that PM Modi has granted Chouhan the authority to oversee the advancement of all declared projects.
The Union Minister will assess the projects that have been announced since 2014, starting from the first NDA government’s tenure. Yet, the government has not released the information regarding this group.
It is said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan will assess all the initiatives listed on the website, the projects initiated by PM Modi, the budget announcements, the laws awaiting rules, and other infrastructure projects. In case of a project delay or ministerial support needed, Chouhan will reach out to the relevant secretaries for assistance.
It has been said that the initial gathering of this group took place in the PM Office on October 18, with attendance from all government secretaries. PM Modi has expressed worry over the lag in implementing government schemes, notifying secretaries and PMO officials in discreet meetings.
