Today (23 October), Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the General Secretary of Congress, submitted her nomination in Wayanad, Kerala. Priyanka Gandhi is representing the Congress party in the by-election for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.
Today, she revealed details of the combined assets belonging to her and her spouse Robert Vadra in the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission. Priyanka Gandhi along with her spouse possess assets, both movable and immovable, valued at Rs 77.55 crore.
As per the details provided in the sworn statement, Priyanka Gandhi’s movable assets amount to a total of Rs 4.25 crore. At the moment, she possesses an amount of Rs 52000 in cash. With a total of Rs 3.67 lakh spread across her three bank accounts. A total amount of Rs 2.25 crore has been put into mutual funds by her. Priyanka Gandhi has also disclosed that she owns gold and silver jewellery valued at Rs 1.45 crore.
In addition, Priyanka Gandhi has also revealed assets worth Rs 7.74 crore that cannot be moved. She received 4 acres of land in New Delhi as her inheritance, with her brother Rahul Gandhi as a fellow partner in the property. Additionally, she owns a residential property valued at Rs 5.64 crore in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.
In the affidavit, Priyanka Gandhi disclosed assets amounting to Rs 11.99 crore under her name. She also owes Rs 15.75 lakh.
