Asaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), criticized the BJP for the chaos during the Uttar Pradesh by-elections on Friday. He mentioned that AIMIM activists in Kakarwali village of Meerapur seat are being singled out by the filing of fabricated cases. During the polling day in Kakarwali village, there was a report of stone throwing targeting the police administration.
According to Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM workers are being persecuted through the filing of fabricated cases. Legal actions have been taken against a minimum of 80 employees. In addition, he also focused on UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He stated that Yogi’s regime was not governance, but rather a state of misrule.
The by-election for the Meerapur seat in Muzaffarnagar took place on November 20th.
In Kakroli village, there was chaos between Samajwadi Party and AIMIM supporters during the Mirapur seat by-election in Muzaffarnagar. And upon receiving the information, the police arrived and both parties threw stones at the administration. Following this, law enforcement had to turn to the use of physical coercion in order to restore order.
At that moment, the activists were claiming that the police were hindering voters from voting. Nevertheless, the police has explicitly rejected this. In this instance, a complaint has been filed against followers of Samajwadi Party and AIMIM for throwing stones at the police. Simultaneously, the AIMIM leader has put pressure on the UP government regarding this matter.
Asaduddin Owaisi has criticized this matter in his previous statement. He stated that AIMIM activists in Kakaroli village of Meerapur are facing persecution through the filing of false cases. A minimum of 80 workers have been recorded. Incorrect charges have been made against the brave women who stood up against the police violence during the elections. Yogi’s governance is not effective but chaotic.
