On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an online meeting with booth workers from Jharkhand BJP, called Congress anti-reservation. In the initiative ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’, he mentioned an old Congress advertisement from a newspaper and stated, “Today, I’ve received an old Congress advertisement via social media.” I am astonished by the type of advertisement they used to disseminate.

This ad comes from the era when Rajiv Gandhi led Congress. In that ad, SC-ST and OBC groups are depicted negatively, and it is explicitly mentioned the extent of harm reservations will inflict on the nation.

PM Modi mentioned that there was a period when Congress held power throughout the nation, from the Panchayat level to the Parliament. While Congress held power, nobody had the bravery to discuss reservation in the nation. Congress traditionally silenced such opinions as, from Nehru ji to Rajiv Gandhi, every member of the royal family was a strong opponent of reservation.

Gradually, individuals began to grasp the messages of Babasaheb Ambedkar, and when the SC, ST, and OBC communities came together, Congress has since been unable to establish a government with a full majority at the center. Currently, the Congress government operates in only a handful of states, leading to frustration within the Congress royal family, which has chosen to dismantle the united strength of SC-ST. This has been their plan for the past few years.

PM Modi condemned the assurances and commitments of Congress, labeling it as deceitful. He stated that wherever the Congress holds power, the local people have been misled in this way. You must have heard that the national president of Congress, Kharge, has claimed that his party provided false assurances. The extent of guarantees from family-run parties often involves corruption, harming the talented individuals in society.

The greatest barrier for youth has been the opposition posed by JMM family members to Congress. I’ve come to know such unpleasant truths about the royal family, who focus on just two things—power and wealth—rather than caring for the citizens. He mentioned that Jharkhand is a state rich in potential, yet the governing parties have ruined it. Jharkhand belongs to us due to their corruption, and the workers’ role is crucial in liberating us from mafia control and poor governance.
