Exciting updates are emerging about the elections in Maharashtra. Reports suggest that there is agreement on 260 seats within the Mahayuti alliance. Out of a total of 260 seats, BJP will be competing on 142 seats independently, whereas the Shinde group may be allocated 66 seats. It is planned to allocate only 52 seats for Ajit Pawar. Although not confirmed, it is thought that this plan is being adhered to.
Indeed, Home Minister Amit Shah has plans to convene a crucial meeting today, which falls on a Saturday. He will be discussing seat sharing, and it is thought that only after that can any seat announcements be made. Currently, certain seats are at an impasse due to lack of agreement, and there are reports suggesting that the Ajit group is seeking to compete for additional seats. In this scenario, any declaration is seen as viable only once all disagreements have been resolved.
In addition, what’s significant is that Maha Vikas Aghadi has also agreed on 260 seats. Also, a seat sharing announcement will be made there soon. There are only a couple of seats remaining with issues, while the rest of the seats are fine. There are reports of increased tension between the Uddhav faction and the Congress, as both parties are fighting for certain seats.
Sanjay Raut has stated firmly that we must now communicate directly with the Congress high command because the local leaders appear insufficient. However, the Congress is also anticipating the high command’s decision. Currently, the entire battle is taking place in South Nagpur, Shrigonda, Parola, Hingoli, Mirage, Shirdi, Ramtek, Raja of Sindkhed, Daryapur, Gore, Udgir, Aap Sir, Colaba, Baikal, and Versova.
