The country is discussing these two slogans stating that dividing will result in being cut off. Following its adoption in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, this catchphrase has now made its way to Jharkhand. Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that division leads to downfall and unity leads to nobility. This slogan had already sparked a political conflict nationwide. At the same time, the introduction of this slogan in the Jharkhand assembly elections has sparked political unrest in the state.

CP Singh, a long-serving leader of BJP who has previously held roles as state minister and assembly speaker, is now the MLA of Ranchi and has been nominated as the BJP candidate for the seventh time. Recently, he displayed a billboard at his home with a selfie spot and a message stating, “Division will weaken us, but unity will elevate us.”

There is significant political activity happening in Jharkhand because of the ‘Batenge to Katenge’ banners displayed by BJP candidate CP Singh at his house. CP Singh stated that the slogan aims to protect the nation from division caused by internal conflicts. He also mentioned that in 1947, the country was split and Pakistan gained independence by separating from India. If we had stayed united, Pakistan would not have been created, but we were divided which led to our separation.

Regarding this, CP stated that the current circumstances in the nation have not changed. Speaking about an incident in Jharkhand, he mentioned that a group of individuals were on their way to a Mukhiya Kain nomination and were chanting slogans in support of Pakistan. During his oath ceremony in Parliament, Owaisi expressed his support for Palestine by saying Zindabad.

He clearly stated that it will not be accepted if someone living in India enjoys the resources of the country but praises Pakistan, regardless of who they are.

Putting aside development concerns, he strongly objected to the slogan ‘If we divide, we will be cut off’ and emphasized that residents of every neighborhood in Ranchi assembly constituency are aware that CP Singh was responsible for constructing all the roads, streets, and drains in Ranchi. He also mentioned that the residents of Ranchi are now having this slogan painted on the roads, spreading it themselves.

CP Singh also mentioned that there is no issue with this, as we are individuals who have faith in Sanatan. Simultaneously, he criticized Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress, and RJD, stating that they are proponents of appeasement and do not seek Hindu votes. I desire for all individuals to remain unified and exhibit nobility.

In response to the billboards erected by BJP MLA CP Singh with the message “If we split, we will be isolated”, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Rajya Sabha MP and Ranchi assembly seat candidate Dr. Mahua Maji stated that the BJP’s main goal is to incite religious divisions to gain votes, but the public is aware of their tactics.

Dr. Mahua Maji, what occurred with BJP in Ayodhya is well-known to all. Instead of discussing progress, these individuals focus on creating division within society. She added that if the Constitution grants the right to coexist, then BJP has no authority to segregate society and incite conflict. This particular catchphrase will not make a difference in Jharkhand.

Kailash Yadav, the person responsible for overseeing the assembly elections of RJD, the governing ally in Jharkhand, expressed that this slogan poses a significant threat to the nation. We need to discuss bringing the country together instead of tearing it apart, even our constitution prohibits this. Our nation is a secular nation where Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians are all considered brothers.

Satish Paul Munjani, who is the Chairman of the media department of Jharkhand Congress, stated that we focus on discussing the state and people’s development and the issues they face. We do not engage in discussions or make comments that could potentially cause tension within the community. The only motto we have is ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. We discuss issues concerning youth, farmers, and women, while the BJP, being a party without any significant problems to address, consistently focuses on stirring up communal tensions.

During the assembly elections in Jharkhand, not only central leaders, but also chief ministers from various states are frequently visiting Jharkhand to conduct election campaigns for BJP candidates. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Jharkhand on November 5 to speak at three election rallies. Some of these are Jamshedpur, Barkagaon, and Domchanch.
