AIMIM has lodged a complaint in Kishanganj Court of Bihar against Union Minister Giriraj Singh for delivering a provocative speech. According to AIMIM’s attorney, Giriraj Singh made statements in numerous public gatherings during his Kishanganj visit that have the potential to create discord between communities and offend the feelings of the residents.
The complaint claims that Giriraj Singh intentionally delivered speeches that could escalate tensions between Hindu and Muslim communities, causing disharmony. The attorney explained that Giriraj Singh’s remarks have disrupted the harmony and unity in the area, as he has intentionally incited a particular group.
In a complaint lodged against Union Minister Giriraj Singh, AIMIM activist and lawyer Shams Azad has claimed that Singh’s accusation against Muslims for demolishing the temple is a provoking and riot-inducing remark. Shams Azad stated that making such a statement will convey a negative message in society and potentially escalate communal tension.
The accusation has been lodged citing sections 196, 197, 199, and 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, video footage has been shown to the court. This grievance has been officially submitted representing AIMIM leader Imtiaz Alam. Giriraj Singh’s remarks have been labeled as harmful to the peace and harmony of the nation.
Giriraj Singh, a Union Minister, launched the ‘Hindu Swabhimaan Yatra’ on 18 October from Bhagalpur. On 22 October, she arrived at Kishanganj after passing through Katihar, Purnia, and Araria. Speaking at the public meeting, she discussed Bangladeshi infiltration and also touched on other topics. AIMIM leaders have expressed strong objection to the statements.
Party leaders are believed to be the ones who spread division in society through communal statements. Due to this, AIMIM leaders have lodged a complaint against Giriraj Singh in Kishanganj court for making inflammatory statements that are believed to be detrimental to communal unity.
