Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena UBT, has made a major declaration concerning businessman Gautam Adani. While speaking at an election event, he announced that all the actions made by the state government in favor of Adani would be reversed. He also alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is asking for votes by using Balasaheb Thackeray’s name. An election is scheduled to take place in the state on November 20. Vote tallying will occur on November 23rd.
He claimed on Sunday that the Mahayuti, consisting of BJP, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party, aims to introduce Adani’s Sultani. He stated that the Adani Group in Mumbai will have everything given to them reclaimed in the initial cabinet meeting. Thackeray stated that once in control, the Maha Vikas Aghadi plans to revoke the MoU between the World Economic Forum (WEF) and MMRDA to diminish the significance of BMC.
Speaking at a gathering at Mumbai’s BKC grounds, Thackeray stated that he would be willing to disband the MMRDA if it interferes with the BMC’s authority. The plot to divide Mumbai from Maharashtra is not just idle chatter, but a grave situation. He said the conspiracy is genuine, but we will never allow it to occur.
Uddhav Thackeray mentioned that in case the Mahayuti emerges victorious on November 23, fireworks will be lit in Gujarat. He stated that all things granted to Adani will be revoked during the initial cabinet gathering of the MVA. Dharavi residents will be relocated within Dharavi along with their houses and businesses.
Uddhav Thackeray stated that the objective of this government is to boost Mumbai’s GDP. Niti Aayog also offers recommendations. It is not possible to change Mumbai into a Union Territory. The BMC elections are yet to be held… Allies of this administration are stealing from Mumbai.
Thackeray announced that the MMRDA and the WEF had entered into a partnership in September to transform MMR into a worldwide economic center. He stated that the agreement was concluded after the Niti Aayog report on MMR progress.
Thackeray announced that the MVA-led government’s initial move would be to revoke the Mahayuti government’s policies that allocated Mumbai’s land to the Adani Group. The ex-chief minister stated that he supported development, not destruction.
Thackeray stated that the MVA government under his leadership was ousted (in June 2022) and the Shiv Sena experienced a rift because he refused to let Maharashtra be plundered.
Thackeray suggested that the BJP construct a statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, who once prohibited the RSS, in Gujarat and campaign for votes in Maharashtra in the name of Balasaheb Thackeray, calling it a “shift in times”.
Thackeray criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the slogan ‘Ek Hain To Safe Hain’, suggesting that if people do not feel safe with Modi, he should step down. He claimed that only those who are corrupt and against the nation feel protected by Modi. Thackeray stated that Maharashtra was in a critical situation due to the fact that “airports, ports, power, mines, and schools were being transferred to Adani.”
Thackeray remembered how Shiv Sena backed the revocation of Article 370 and how Bal Thackeray provided refuge to Kashmiri Pandits escaping persecution. He mentioned that during that period, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi were not known to the world.
