Prashant Kishor's Jansaraj party planned to join Bihar by-elections, but Election Commission rejected its candidates.

In the Bihar by-election, candidates from the Jansuraj Party are making their debut in the political field. The party nominated candidates for Tarari and Belagnj seats, but Jansuraj had to replace its candidate.

The party has nominated candidates for both Tarari and Belagnj seats, but Jansuraj had to switch its candidates. The party has nominated Kiran Singh instead of Shri Krishna Singh for the Tarari assembly seat. Mohammed. Amjad has been selected as the candidate instead of Prof. Khilafat Hussain for the Belagnj seat. Prashant Kishore has criticized the Election Commission for replacing the candidate.

The Election Commission surprised Jansuraj by revealing that the party’s candidate Lieutenant General (Retired) S.K. Singh is not a resident of the state. The commission stated that SK Singh was a voter in Bihar until 2020, however, he had moved his vote to Noida.

As per a statement from an official of the Election Commission, all candidates must be registered voters in the state before they can file their nomination to run for election from any constituency within that state. In this instance, Prashant Kishore claims that SK Singh had requested to have his name added to the voter list of Tarari.

Prashant Kishor stated that we are inexperienced in electoral politics and will encounter some resistance at the beginning. We are observing that this system heavily favors the governing party. The working president of the organization, Manoj Bharti, introduced Kiran Singh as the new JSP candidate from Tarari, highlighting her efforts as a social worker advocating for education in the region.

Kiran Singh mentioned that she knows this electoral district well. She mentioned that I am dedicated to enhancing the standard of primary education in this locality. Prashant Kishore mentioned that Mohammad Amjad was feeling pressured by his followers to participate in the elections.

He mentioned that we acknowledge the criticism in the media, but our intention is to maintain transparency. Mohammad Amjad had participated in the 2005 and 2010 assembly elections but did not win. He was a JD (U) candidate in 2010 and was defeated by a margin of only 4,100 votes.

Candidates from Ramgarh and Imamganj have been announced by Kishor’s party as well. JSP has selected ex-BSP member Sushil Kushwaha to run in Ramgarh, and Dr Jitendra Paswan has been chosen to stand in Imamganj.
