Elections for 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled for by-elections. Because of this, preparations for the elections are underway quickly and the candidates’ names are being revealed. By-polls are currently taking place for the Majhawan constituency in Mirzapur. Nishad Party was expecting to win this seat, but Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to field its former MLA Suchismita Maurya instead. Pushpalata Bind, who had requested a ticket from the Nishad Party, began a revolt when Suchismita Maurya received the ticket and filed her nomination.

Harishankar Bind, spouse of Pushpalata Bind, has accused Sanjay Nishad, leader of the Nishad Party, of a serious allegation. He claimed that Sanjay Nishad had taken advantage of him by luring him from Mirzapur to Lucknow and Delhi under the pretense of providing a ticket. He phoned him to come to Delhi and received Rs. He has alleged that he took Rs. 10 lakh in cash. 5 hundred thousand in cash for the purpose of application fee. Additionally, he also mentioned that the candidate has covered the costs of all events in Mirzapur, including transportation, meals, and beverages.

Harishankar Bind also mentioned that every time Nishad Party officials visited, they brought a parting gift of Rs. Between twenty thousand and fifty thousand.

Pushpalata Bind, representing Sanjay Nishad, has invested over 50 lakh rupees in events and send-offs in a span of 6 months. A sum of 2 crore rupees was required upon finalizing the ticket. After tricking us for half a year, our community will now deceive us in the upcoming election as payback for the betrayal. We will also visit each house and implore our community to turn against them.

Pushpalata Bind was a candidate vying for the nomination from Nishad Party. The former MLA Suchismita Maurya has been nominated by BJP on this seat. Pushpalata Bind resides in Veerpur within the Majhawan assembly constituency. She worked as a teacher, now serves as a village leader, with her family having held the position for three consecutive five-year periods. She ran in the 2022 assembly elections representing BSP and finished in third place with 52990 votes.

Suchismita Maurya from BJP, Jyoti Bind from SP, and Deepak Tiwari from BSP have submitted their nominations for the Majhawan assembly by-election, with Maurya being a former MLA and Bind’s father being a former MP.
