MVA meeting agreed on seat sharing for Maharashtra elections. Congress will contest majority seats. Official announcement today.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are less than a month away. The tension is mounting between political parties because of this. However, following an extensive brainstorming session lasting over 4 hours within the Maha Vikas Aghadi, the allocation of seats is nearly set. Sanjay Raut, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), revealed Tuesday night that the top leaders of Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar), and Shiv Sena (UBT) will provide details about seat sharing to the media on Wednesday.

Sanjay Raut, leader of Shiv Sena, provided details about the discussions held in the meeting on seat sharing. He mentioned that this meeting was the final one concerning seat sharing among the three parties, indicating that no further meetings on the matter would take place. He mentioned a deadlock in Congress and Shiv Sena over seat sharing preventing the parties from announcing candidates, but all seats were discussed in today’s meeting.

Sources revealed that Congress will compete for the most seats in the state following the Maharashtra election meeting. The party led by Sharad Pawar will receive the smallest number of seats in the division. Shiv Sena (UBT) will have the opportunity to compete for the highest number of seats in Mumbai.

In addition, sources also mentioned that Congress may run for 103 to 108 seats, while Shiv Sena (UBT) may run for 90 to 95 seats. Simultaneously, there is agreement to allocate 80-85 seats to NCP (Sharad Pawar). SP and Aam Aadmi Party will receive less than 10 seats while other allies will be handled similarly. The Maharashtra Assembly has a total of 288 seats.

With the election just under a month away, the leaders of the ruling Mahayuti continue to mock the seat sharing within the Mahavikas Aghadi. The seat allocation between BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde)-NCP (Ajit) has already been finalized, with these parties now announcing their candidate lists. BJP is competing for the highest number of seats in this partnership. Allow us to inform you that the election for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra will take place on November 20 with the vote counting scheduled for November 23.
