JDU formed committee led by state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha.

There is only one year remaining until the Bihar assembly elections, yet all political parties have intensified their readiness. JDU has chosen to nominate its prominent leaders for the upcoming election.

Worker conferences will be held in each district of Bihar as per Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s directives to rejuvenate the workers with fresh energy. A committee, led by JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha, has been established for this purpose. JDU ministers, MPs, and MLAs with influence in the caste-dominated districts will be deployed there.

Additionally, areas where JDU received minimal votes in the previous Lok Sabha elections or where the party candidates were defeated have been pinpointed. Umesh Singh Kushwaha has declared that district-level worker conferences of JDU will be held in this situation.

The conference is set to begin on November 24 and will run until December 22. Five teams have been created for this purpose, each headed by a different leader: National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Ramnath Thakur. Each team consists of nine party leaders.

Umesh Singh Kushwaha provided in-depth information about the conference, stating that the conferences will take place in various districts on Saturdays and Sundays from 24 November to 22 December. The final meeting will take place in Patna on 22 December.

He also mentioned that during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA led in 173 out of 243 seats in Bihar, whereas the Grand Alliance only won 63 seats. JDU aims to further increase their success in the upcoming 2025 assembly elections by targeting 225 seats.

Umesh Singh Kushwaha pointed out that Nitish Kumar’s message is to stay focused on public welfare initiatives, and the public will respond to those who try to sow confusion. In the previous Lok Sabha elections, JDU secured victory in 12 out of 16 seats.

Nonetheless, JDU was defeated in the Purnia constituency, which was previously represented by Santosh Kushwaha. Santosh is from the Kushwaha community and Nitish Kumar is eager to retain the support of the Koeri-Kurmi voters as they shifted their allegiance from JDU in the previous Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, RJD has appointed Abhay Singh Kushwaha as the parliamentary party leader for the Kushwaha community.

Lesi Singh is the sole JDU MLA in Purnia and the party aims to secure a minimum of three seats in the upcoming elections. The organization of workers’ conferences in Purnia and other districts of Bihar is the explanation for this. Workers will receive information on the progress made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar, so they can share this message with the public and highlight the government’s accomplishments.
