Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha election results: In the recent Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), led by Chandrababu Naidu, is on the brink of a triumphant return to power, registering a significant win in both the Assembly and the Lok Sabha contests, according to information from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
According to data from the Election Commission, in the Assembly elections, the Janasena Party is ahead in 19 constituencies, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 7, and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in 13 seats within Andhra Pradesh.
In the race for the Lok Sabha, the TDP is leading in 16 of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, followed by YSRCP securing 4 seats, BJP 3, and JNP 2, as reported by the electoral body.

Voters cast their ballots for 543 Lok Sabha members (Surat and Indore were uncontested) over seven stages, from April 19 to June 1. The polling schedule was as follows: April 19 (Phase 1), April 26 (Phase 2), May 7 (Phase 3), May 13 (Phase 4), May 20 (Phase 5), May 25 (Phase 6), and June 1 (Phase 7), with the announcement of results on June 4.
During the fourth phase, polling for the Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh was conducted concurrently with the state’s Assembly elections on May 13. The Election Commission reported an 80.66% voter turnout for the elections to the 25 Lok Sabha seats and 175 Assembly seats. A total of 454 candidates contested for the Lok Sabha seats in the state, as per the Election Commission records.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) vied for all 25 seats, striving to preserve its dominance in the region.
Within the INDIA alliance, the Indian National Congress presented candidates for 23 seats. In contrast, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] and the Communist Party of India (CPI) fielded candidates in one seat each. Conversely, in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was in the fray for 17 seats, the BJP for 6 seats, and the Jana Sena Party for 2 seats.
The YSR Congress primarily built its campaign around the welfare initiatives it had launched over the previous five years. Meanwhile, the NDA criticised the state government’s shortcomings and outlined the benefits it would introduce if elected, including promises of state development and job creation.
