Ex-CM Digvijay Singh will hold 10 street meetings in Budhni; Sachin Pilot addresses Vijaypur tomorrow.

Following the release of the dates for the by-elections in Budhni and Vijaypur seats in Madhya Pradesh, political parties have begun their campaigns. Senior members of the Congress party have also initiated their campaign efforts. Today, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh will speak at 10 street gatherings in various locations in Budhni. Congress has invited Sachin Pilot to Vijaypur tomorrow in order to appeal to the Gurjar voters.

Sachin Pilot is set to reveal the statue of Gurjar leader and ex-MP Tarachand Patel as he kicks off his election tour. Following this, he will travel from Barwah to Vijaypur around 12:15 pm and will speak at a public gathering in Karahal, Vijaypur at 2:45 pm.

A challenging battle is taking place for both seats in the by-election. The Election Commission has revealed the date of by-elections for these seats in addition to the Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections. The seat of Budhni became vacant when Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan became an MP, and the seat of Vijaypur became vacant when Congress leader Ramniwas Rawat switched to the BJP. The committee has scheduled the voting for November 13 and the announcement of results for November 23. Congress has started taking significant actions in relation to the Budhni by-election.

Senior Congress leaders Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath are currently conducting campaigns to penetrate the territory of the ex-BJP Chief Minister. In his speech, Kamal Nath strongly criticized the BJP government and targeted the Shivraj government for schemes such as selling cylinders for Rs 400.

The Election Commission has amended the schedules for assembly by-elections in UP, Punjab, and Kerala. The voting date for 14 assembly seats in three states has been changed from 13 November to 20 November, with the results being announced on 23 November. The commission has implemented this alteration at the request of BJP, Congress, RLD, and BSP, as the Kartik Purnima and Guru Nanak Devji’s Prakash Parv on 15 November might have impacted the voting process.
