The campaign for the Maharashtra assembly elections is in full swing on one hand. However, there is controversy surrounding the supposed remarks about Shiv Sena (Shinde) nominee Saina NC. On Sunday, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, president of the Maharashtra BJP state, responded to Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut’s support. He mentioned that he would be targeted by women throwing slippers at him. During this period, the BJP leader also cautioned the dissenting candidates.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, BJP’s president in Maharashtra, mentioned that Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP, backed Arvind Sawant’s remarks on Saina NC. Women will hurl slippers at him, display slippers to him. The BJP leader stated that they are endorsing individuals who disrespect women by doing this. You are speaking in this manner on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. This is disrespectful towards women. He commented that Sanjay Rawat’s statement was disrespectful to all the women in Maharashtra.

The BJP state president cautioned the rebel candidates that if they don’t pull out their names, they will face consequences.

He stated that the rebel BJP leaders submitted nominations due to their grudge. 99 percent of the candidates who submitted nominations out of anger will retract their names and measures will be taken against those who do not retract their names. On Friday, Shiv Sena UBT MP Arvind Sawant made a controversial statement about Shaina NC. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut has backed it.

Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut clarified on Saturday that Shaina NC has not been disrespected. Arvind Sawant simply stated that Shaina NC, the candidate from Mumba Devi, is not a local but an outsider and is essentially a manufactured entity. He had stated that being an imported product, how could this be an insult to a woman. Sanjay Raut questioned why it is such a big deal if someone from outside contests elections, as they will simply be referred to as an outsider.

On Friday, MP Arvind Sawant from Shiv Sena’s Uddhav faction reportedly made a remark about Shaina NC, a candidate from the Shinde faction running for the Mumba Devi seat. He mentioned that imported products are not suitable for use in this location. He referred to the party candidate Amin Patel from Mumba Devi constituency as authentic merchandise. Politics in Maharashtra has become intense following Shiv Sena UBT MP’s recent statement. Following this declaration, Shaina NC has lodged a complaint with the police. In addition, she also posted about her ex, saying, “I am a woman, not an object.”
