BJP officials claim a deal with Shinde made.

There are only 20 days remaining until the assembly elections in Maharashtra. The Mahayuti alliance is unclear about the candidates for the Mahim assembly seat. A triangular competition will take place for this seat among Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Shiv Sena’s incumbent MLA Sada Sarvankar, and Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Mahesh Sawant.

The battle heated up when the BJP pledged to back Amit Thackeray. Simultaneously, Shiv Sena, under the leadership of CM Eknath Shinde, has chosen to nominate its existing MLA, and both parties are firm in their stance.

The BJP was expecting Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena to back Amit Thackeray by replacing MLA Sarvankar from his position. Nevertheless, BJP leaders assert that they have come to an agreement with Shinde regarding this issue. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leaders contend that if they don’t nominate a candidate, their votes could potentially support the Uddhav faction. On Wednesday, Sarvankar asked Raj Thackeray to remove his son from the Mahim seat candidacy and back Shiv Sena.

The MLA posted on Twitter regarding his four decades as a Shiv Sena supporter and his dedication in winning the MLA election thrice. He mentioned that if Bal Thackeray was still alive, he would not have requested him to give up his seat for his family members.

The Shiv Sena MLA explained that despite having 50 relatives in Dadar-Mahim, Bal Thackeray chose him, a common worker, as the candidate. He was a leader who valued the workers’ spirit. Observe Eknath Shinde sahab. Despite his son serving as an MP three times, he decided not to appoint him as a minister at the Centre and instead chose a loyal member of the Shiv Sena for the role. He added, “I urge Raj sahab to not treat workers like me unfairly.” Please offer me your assistance.

Devendra Fadnavis stated that they are backing Amit Thackeray on this entire matter. The same view is also held by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. If there is no candidate from Shiv Sena, the votes will transfer to Shiv Sena (UBT), hence a candidate has been nominated. He additionally mentioned that attempts would be made to address the situation.

Fadnavis stated that Shiv Sena leaders, led by Shinde, claimed that their loyal supporters would switch to Uddhav Sena if the party didn’t participate in the election. He stated that the BJP was prepared to back Amit and continues to uphold its position.

In the meantime, Sarwankar encountered Eknath Shinde and stated that the Chief Minister had promised him that he would run for office in Mahim. In the meantime, Raj Thackeray has stated that the upcoming Maharashtra government will be headed by the Mahayuti coalition, with the BJP holding the position of Chief Minister. He stated that MNS will support the formation of this government.
