Swati Maliwal, an MP from the Aam Aadmi Party, went to the official residence of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Saturday and dumped a bottle of dirty water outside the CM’s house. She stated that the water being supplied to Delhi residents’ homes is dirty and foul-smelling, with no alternative options available. Maliwal warned Atishi that if the water supply in Delhi is not fixed within 15 days, she will bring a tanker of contaminated water and spray it at the CM’s house.
Addressing the press at that moment, Maliwal stated, ‘Residents of Sagarpur, Dwarka got in touch with me, the conditions there are extremely dire.’ I visited a house and noticed that the tap was dispensing dark-colored water. I collected the black water in a container and transported it to the Chief Minister’s house. Since 2015, we’ve been told that the following year will be better.
Maliwal additionally inquired, ‘Are the residents of Delhi willing to consume the dark water I have presented here today? I have cautioned the Chief Minister that this is only a demonstration, and if he doesn’t improve the water supply throughout Delhi in fifteen days, I will bring a tank filled with the same water and empty it here. Currently, I am leaving this water for them. They have the option to use it for bathing, drinking, or cleansing their sins.
Sharing a video, Maliwal posted on her former account, ‘I have obtained this disgusting black foul-smelling water from the residence of a retired army official in Dwarka. For months, Atishi has been contaminating the water supply for the entire region. Today, I disposed of this filthy water in front of her residence. I have additionally placed this bottle outdoors of the residence. Madam, please drink this water and empathize with the suffering of the people. If this situation does not get better, then your house will get sprayed with a tanker full of water next time.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Maliwal visited the Dwarka locality in the city. The residents had phoned her to let her know that very unclean water was being provided to their houses. Upon arriving, Maliwal was surprised by the sight of the water flowing from the tap.
In the video, Maliwal reacts to the water from the tap by saying, “Oh God.. this is excessive..”. I’m in disbelief, this is the plan of the Delhi government to distribute Coca-Cola straight from the faucet. Government gives a present to the citizens during Diwali.
Following that, Maliwal inquired if he had informed the MLA about the situation, to which the retired army officer answered, “Every household is in the same condition, I informed Yadav ji, Mishra ji, and the MLA.” I informed all. Nobody is doing anything.
Maliwal also added, ‘I will bring this water to the Chief Minister, who can choose to either drink it, bathe in it, or cleanse his sins with it.’
Following this, Maliwal, becoming extremely enraged, mentioned, ‘Setting up a water sanitation system in their household will amount to 15 crore rupees, yet they release contaminated water through the taps to the community. They have no sense of embarrassment, they have abandoned individuals to perish in a horrific place.
Today is Govardhan Puja, after Diwali celebrations, they will be just as enthusiastic in celebrating Diwali, with people celebrating in a similar manner. This is the extreme of shamelessness. No construction of roads has taken place, trash is scattered everywhere. And they are sending water, even though the Vice Chairman of Delhi Jal Board is here to see the current situation.
