Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader, is optimistic about Mahayuti forming the government in Maharashtra soon and aims for a solo BJP government by 2029.
Speaking to BJP workers in Mumbai over two days, Shah stressed the need to dismiss negativity, pay no heed to surveys, and concentrate on the forthcoming elections.
Shah stated that the BJP’s recent string of wins demonstrates that a government’s performance is crucial for its success. “We were in power at the national level for three consecutive terms.” Shake off your hopelessness now and ignore any findings from surveys. He informed the party members that Mahayuti would definitely lead the government this year and by 2029, BJP would have the ability to lead the government independently.
Shah stated that the Mahayuti’s triumph in Maharashtra is as definite as “a line etched in stone”. He continued by stating that if the alliance wins, nobody will be able to prevent the enforcement of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the region. Shah emphasized that Maharashtra is a crucial field of conflict for the BJP, pointing out that the upcoming elections will have a big influence on the future direction of the country.
For the first time in six decades, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made history by being elected to lead the government for three continuous terms. The outcome of the Maharashtra elections is crucial for determining the future of the country, and I have faith that the Mahayuti will emerge victorious. Shah said that in order to secure a landslide victory, it is necessary for the voter turnout to increase in Maharashtra. He mentioned that no other party is capable of halting the Mahayuti in Maharashtra.
Shah emphasized that the BJP is not motivated solely by the urge to hold power, but is dedicated to putting its ideological beliefs into practice. He mentioned significant accomplishments such as the building of the Ram Temple and the revocation of Article 370 as evidence of the BJP’s dedication to its ideology. We didn’t attain power solely to govern. The BJP took office with the aim of completing projects such as constructing the Ram Temple and revoking Article 370. Shah stated that following our victory in the Maharashtra elections, we will enforce the Uniform Civil Code.
He also praised Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, stating that he is adept at addressing the state’s problems. Shah emphasized the accomplishments of the BJP at the national level, stating, “During the past decade, under Modi’s guidance, India has successfully defeated terrorism and Naxalism.” “Today, Indians proudly hold their heads high on the world platform.”
A crucial aspect of Shah’s speech emphasized the enhancement of the party’s grassroots organization. He urged for a 10 per cent boost in voter turnout, especially by dealing with any discontent among local leaders. Ensure that there are 10 committed employees at each booth. These workers need to remain engaged in their designated regions, connecting with voters who share our beliefs from Dussehra until the campaign concludes. Make sure that at least 20 individuals from each booth join the BJP as members. He told them that once they become members, they will realize the significance of voting for our team.
Shah also assessed how the opposition performed in past elections, showing that out of six important areas, the BJP won the majority in five assembly sections, while the opposition only won one. This indicates that we will secure victory in six constituencies, while the opposition will only succeed in one. The Maharashtra BJP unit needs to ensure efficient implementation of its strategies at the mandal and ward levels. “We will achieve victory,” Shah stated confidently.
The speech by the home minister highlighted his strong connection with the local community as he discussed his own path from being a party member to becoming a national leader. I have risen from the bottom, so connecting with party workers brings me great happiness. Certain elections can alter the direction of the country’s political landscape. From what I have seen, I believe that the Maharashtra elections will have a significant impact on the future course and functioning of Indian politics. He concluded that no political party has won three consecutive terms in recent times.
Shah’s presence has energized BJP workers in Maharashtra, initiating a vigorous and targeted campaign for the state assembly elections. The BJP appears committed to dominating the political scene in Maharashtra, with Mahayuti’s victory and the goal of single-party rule by 2029.
