The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora’s home in Punjab on Monday as part of an investigation into money laundering related to a land fraud incident. Sources reported that raids were carried out at multiple sites associated with the AAP leader in Jalandhar district of Punjab under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

According to sources from the ED, Sanjeev Arora, the owner of a private business, reportedly used deceitful methods to transfer land to his company. On Saturday, a raid was also carried out at the property of real estate tycoon Vikas Passi in relation to a pearl chit fund scam.

A Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party, Sanjev Arora, verified on Monday that authorities were conducting searches at his premises and promised to assist in the investigation. In a X post, Arora mentioned, “I follow the law, don’t know why the search was conducted, I will cooperate with the authorities and ensure all their questions are addressed.” Manish Sisodia, ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader, claimed that the federal probe agency is singling out opposition leaders sequentially.

Sisodia confirmed the development on X and commented, “Once more, PM Modi has let loose his “parrots”. From this morning, the home of Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora is being searched by ED. He also mentioned that over the last two years, the government department has conducted raids on the residences of various AAP politicians such as Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendar Jain. During the investigation against AAP leaders, they (ED) did not uncover anything, he said.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh responded to the situation by stating that the search operation on the 61-year-old politician will not diminish the determination of AAP leaders. A new day brings another attack. Enforcement Directorate officials have arrived at the residence of AAP lawmaker Sanjeev Arora. Modiji’s machine that fabricates false cases targets the Aam Aadmi Party constantly, around the clock. Singh said that despite the Supreme Court reprimanding them multiple times to cease filing false cases, the ED has not grasped the message.

He alleged that the federal investigation agency was not following the instructions given by the highest court. However, Modiji’s pride pales in comparison to the bravery shown by Aam Aadmi Party leaders. Singh said, Modi Ji, you cannot dismantle a steadfastly truthful party with fabricated cases and searches.
