The Bharatiya Janata Party revealed its nominees for the 9 seats up for by-elections on 24 October. The BJP has given up the Meerapur seat in Muzaffarnagar to its partner RLD. Ramveer Singh Thakur has been nominated to run for election from the Kundarki constituency. Ramveer had competed in this constituency in 2012 and 2017, but was unsuccessful in both attempts.
Sanjeev, the Metropolitan President of BJP in Ghaziabad, has been selected as the candidate for Ghaziabad Sadar. Surendra Diler, the son of ex-Hathras MP Rajveer Diler, has been nominated to run in the Khair reserved constituency of Aligarh. The OBC, upper caste, and Dalit categories each received four, three, and one tickets respectively from the BJP.
In the assembly by-election, Samajwadi Party announced three more candidates on October 24. Currently, in Uttar Pradesh, SP is not in partnership with Congress. Elections were conducted independently on all nine seats with mutual cooperation. SP will now compete on these nine seats, reaffirming their alliance with PDA.
