The counting of votes for all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand has begun. Trends are expected to start coming in soon. Voting took place in four phases, with a total voter turnout of 66.19%. The number of female voters was higher on 12 out of the 14 seats. Compared to 2019, voter turnout has increased in 8 of the 14 parliamentary constituencies. The counting started at 8 AM today across 14 centers.

Not only Jharkhand but the entire country is closely watching the Jharkhand Lok Sabha elections. Some seats are seeing particularly interesting contests. According to all exit polls released after voting, the BJP is predicted to win more than a majority of the seats. However, the ‘India’ alliance claims that they will form the government. Interestingly, TV 9’s exit poll predicts zero seats for the ‘India’ alliance in Jharkhand.

Everyone is eagerly awaiting the election results for several prominent candidates, including ‘Rebel Daughter-in-law’ Sita Soren, Nishikant Dubey, Geeta Koda, Yashaswini Sahay, and Vijay Hansda. On June 4, the fate of 244 candidates from Jharkhand—212 men, 31 women, and 1 transgender—will be decided. In total, eight sitting MPs and twelve MLAs are contesting the parliamentary elections.
