LPG cylinders in Jharkhand cost Rs 860. BJP raises concerns about Bangladesh infiltration, blaming India Alliance parties for support.

Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the Congress General Secretary and Jharkhand in-charge, has caused uproar in the state’s politics with his statement during the Jharkhand assembly elections. Ghulam Ahmed Mir stated on Thursday that if his party wins, all state residents, regardless of their status as infiltrators, will receive gas cylinders for Rs 450. Following his statement, the BJP has responded firmly and labeled Mir’s statement as anti-national.

Currently, in Jharkhand, domestic LPG cylinders can be purchased for Rs 860. Simultaneously, BJP has highlighted infiltration from Bangladesh as a major concern in the assembly elections, and is blaming the India Alliance parties for supporting infiltration.

During election campaign in Chandrapura of Bermo assembly constituency, Ghulam Ahmed Mir announced that if his government is elected, starting from 1st December, they would offer gas cylinders for Rs. Four hundred and fifty. This cylinder is intended for the entire population of the state. Whether it be a Hindu, Muslim, or someone infiltrating. All the residents residing in Jharkhand will receive this cylinder. No additional matters will be taken into account when providing the cylinder.

BK Hariprasad, a senior coordinator of Congress for Jharkhand assembly elections, stated that all individuals in Jharkhand, upon becoming a voter, will receive the benefits of the low-price domestic gas cylinders offered by Congress. Hariprasad alleged that the BJP is attempting to instill fear in the state by bringing up the topic of infiltration.

He criticized the BJP, stating that if they have evidence of intruders in the police station in Jharkhand, they should provide a list to the people in the state who are accusing the BJP of being infiltrators. This is insulting to the residents of this state.

He explicitly stated that anyone who has resided in Jharkhand is considered a Jharkhandi, and labeling them as intruders in any manner is disrespectful. The Congress leader’s remarks have been made as BJP leaders continue to criticize the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for allegedly encouraging infiltration in the state.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan responded strongly to the Congress leader’s statement. He mentioned that Ghulam Ahmed Mir, a Congress leader, is discussing the possibility of providing gas cylinders to infiltrators for the price of Rs 450. The Congress-RJD-JMM government in Jharkhand is consistently encouraging infiltration. He claimed that in Birni of Giridih district, there are thousands of infiltrators who have come into Jharkhand, and the government is assisting them in obtaining voter and ration cards.

While speaking at a rally in Bokaro, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that the person in charge of the Congress party has assured to provide gas cylinders to infiltrators, as well as Hindus and Muslims. BJP will prevent infiltrators from taking away the rights of tribals.
