The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Jharkhand recently hosted an engaging Cloud Computing session under the theme “Accelerate, Innovate, and Expand Securely.”

The event featured a gathering of industry leaders from diverse sectors, discussing the advancements in technology and the impact these have on cloud services. A highlight of the session was the presentation by Oracle experts, who provided deep insights into leveraging cloud technology effectively.

Diloo Parikh, the CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council Chairman and Managing Director of Vaidehi Motors Pvt Ltd spoke about the rapid progress in India’s digital business sphere. He credited this growth to technological innovation, supportive government initiatives, and a flourishing startup ecosystem.

Parikh also brought attention to the significant growth of the cloud computing market, which is expected to soar from a global valuation of $371 billion to more than $832 billion by 2025, indicating the crucial role of cloud technology in India’s digital evolution.

Sarajit Jha, who leads the CII Jharkhand ICT, Startup, and Innovation Panel and serves as the Chief of Business Transformation and Business Solutions at TATA Steel, discussed the critical importance of cloud technology for development, with the ultimate goal being the adoption of AI.

He outlined three fundamental elements of the cloud paradigm: access to data and digital infrastructure, the separation of innovation from infrastructure, and democratising data, all vital for nurturing secure innovation.

Jha highlighted the importance of solid organizational frameworks in various processes, acknowledging the cloud’s ability to speed up innovation, boost security, and improve global AI efficiency despite potential obstacles.

Sanjay Sabherwal, the Chairman of the CII Eastern Region MSME Subcommittee & Managing Director of Metalwork Industries Ltd, emphasized the need for innovation and acceleration among India’s 6.4 crore MSMEs, the majority of which are micro-enterprises.

He mentioned how the advent of self-owned businesses in the late 1990s changed global work practices and how cloud technology offers agility, stability, and scalability to revolutionize MSME operations with minimal upfront costs. This revolution enables micro-enterprises to harness IT and digitalization for business improvement.

Rohit Goyal, the Director of IEMCO Industries Pvt Ltd, stressed the importance of Indian businesses investing in digital capabilities to maintain sustainability in a digital-first environment.

He noted that cloud computing and the data revolution are critical in propelling digital transformation across businesses and government sectors in India by providing infrastructure, platforms, and software solutions.

Goyal highlighted that the transformative benefits of cloud computing are essential for enhancing operational efficiency and competitiveness, which are crucial for the ongoing success of MSMEs.

The CII Jharkhand Cloud Computing Session provided a platform for attendees to connect with Oracle experts, participate in lively discussions, and discover industry best practices.
