Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday traveled to different Chhath Ghats along the Ganga River by water vessel, starting from Nasriganj Ghat in Danapur and ending at Kangan Ghat in the capital. During Chhath Puja, the CM also prayed to the setting Sun God and extended greetings to the Chhath devotees, wishing joy, tranquility, and prosperity to the state’s residents.
On Thursday evening, numerous devotees prayed to the setting Sun God at different ghats along the Ganga river in Patna. During CM Nitish Kumar’s visit to the ghats, the devotees welcomed him by lifting their hands. The CM acknowledged the well-wishes from everyone by raising his hands and replied to them.
It is recognized that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar goes to Chhath Ghats annually to provide amenities for Chhath worshippers. The Chief Minister directed that comprehensive measures be established for the comfort and security of the worshippers at Chhath Ghats. Considering this, the administration made comprehensive arrangements to ensure that individuals do not encounter any issues or difficulties.
On this occasion, with the CM were BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Legislative Council member Lalan Sarraf, BJP Bihar State Organization General Secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsaniya, BJP leader Rituraj Sinha, and Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar.
Today, at the residence of the Chief Minister located at 1 Anne Marg, together with family, I prayed to the setting Sun, Lord Bhaskar, asking for happiness, peace, and prosperity for the state’s people. Subsequently, I explored different Chhath Ghats along the Ganga river and offered my respects to the worshippers.
Besides these, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department Santosh Kumar Malla, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Abhay Kumar Singh, Divisional Commissioner of Patna Mayank Barbade, Inspector General of Police, Security Vinay Kumar, Inspector General of Police of the Patna region Garima Malik, District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra, Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation Animesh Parasar, along with other senior officials, were accompanying the CM.
Prior to going to the Chhath Ghats in Patna, CM Nitish Kumar observed Chhath Puja at his residence at 1 Anne Marg and presented Arghya to the setting Sun God alongside his immediate family.
