In Khanyar area of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces killed Usman, a terrorist commander from Lashkar-e-Taiba during an encounter on Saturday. In addition to the courage of the military, biscuits have also played a significant role in ensuring the success of this operation.
This time, the army’s operations demonstrated that not only guns but also AI and other elements are highly effective in situations. This time in the Khanyar encounter, a similar incident occurred where the army achieved significant success in the operation thanks to biscuits.
The army provided biscuits to search teams in order to quiet stray dogs and ensure a successful mission to eliminate Commander Usman. Senior officials stated that the recent incident in the Khanyar area of Srinagar marked the first major operation in Jammu and Kashmir in over two years.
The military stated that upon learning of Usman’s location, officers spent nine hours strategizing to ensure the operation’s success without casualties. In this period, the military faced a significant issue with stray dogs, as the terrorists would be alerted by their barking.
In order to address this issue, the security forces received biscuits. As the search teams began advancing towards their objectives, they gave biscuits to the stray dogs in order to relax them. This unique tactic played a major role in the operation’s success.
A joint operation involving local police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was carried out. During the operation, the military stated that Usman had good knowledge of the valley and was known for his terrorist activities in the early 2000s. He returned to the area in 2016-17 after some time in Pakistan. In addition to that, this terrorist was also implicated in the killing of Police Sub Inspector Masroor Wani last year.
This operation has been successful in achieving a major victory against The Resistance Front, a faction of Lashkar-e-Taiba, by the security forces. This division has participated in assaults on non-native workers and security personnel. This meeting has demonstrated the extent to which security forces are willing to explore creative and unconventional strategies for the effectiveness of their missions.
