Naseem Solanki, who is standing as a candidate for the Samajwadi Party in the Sisamau assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh, is facing difficulties. The National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi, has issued a fatwa against her for her temple worship.
Naseem Solanki’s husband, Irfan Solanki, emerged victorious in the 2022 assembly elections for the Sisamau assembly seat. Irfan Solanki was barred from the assembly due to receiving a 7-year prison term for arson. Because of this, this seat is now empty.
Currently, all the candidates are occupied with public relations for the upcoming by-elections for 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Voting is scheduled for November 13 for all nine assembly seats, with the results set to be revealed on November 23.
The main point is that a video of Naseem Solanki has become widely popular showing her giving water and flowers to the Shivling. While doing this, she also illuminated a lamp inside the temple. Following the circulation of her video, there is now a popular video of Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin. Maulana states that he was questioned about what Shariat dictates when a woman worships and provides water in a temple.
Maulana has stated that in Islam, idol worship is strictly prohibited according to Sharia law. In the eyes of Sharia, it is incorrect for any individual, whether male or female, to engage in this behavior. Maulana advised the woman to seek repentance and avoid any actions in the future that may jeopardize her faith. He stated that the woman should also repeat the Kalma.
Following the increased controversy, Naseem Solanki expressed in a discussion that She holds all religions in high regard. She was summoned to the temple for Diwali and later she arrived. Naseem Solanki mentioned that he visited the temple and then stopped by the gurudwara. Additionally, she also attended church and plans to return in the coming days. He might also have a program in that. Naseem Solanki mentioned that showing respect for every religion is something they are fine with, including visiting their places of worship.
The debate regarding this issue has escalated as the temple priests have cleansed the temple and the Shivling by using water from the Ganga brought from Haridwar.
Naseem Solanki’s father-in-law, Haji Mushtaq Solanki, also served as an MLA. Irfan Solanki has won the MLA election from the Sisamau constituency for three consecutive terms. The Samajwadi Party has been in control of the Sisamau seat, but the BJP is now striving to secure a victory in this constituency. BJP workers are optimistic that the streak of losses in Sisamau will finally come to an end this time.
It should be noted that the SP is competing on all 9 seats in the by-election. In contrast, BJP is running for 8 seats while its partner RLD is running for one seat.
