Ayodhya Minor Rape Case Dna Negative For Sp Leader'S Staff
Ayodhya minor rape case DNA negative for SP Leader's staff

The Uttar Pradesh government told the Allahabad high court on Monday that the fetus of a 12-year-old rape survivor’s DNA samples matched that of a guy who worked for Samajwadi Party politician Moid Khan, adding that it was “probably a case of gang rape.”

The court was informed by Additional Advocate General Vinod Shahi that just one accused person’s DNA sample might match those of a fetus in a case of gang rape.

In such a scenario, the involvement of Moid Khan in the gang rape cannot be ruled out, he stated.

The remarks were made on Monday during a hearing on Moid’s bail plea before the Pankaj Bhatia Court of Justice.

Shahi brought out during the hearing that the underage girl’s gang rape was confirmed by the DNA samples that matched Raju Khan, Moid’s employee.

The court had ordered the director of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to submit the DNA sampling result of the foetus of the minor girl, who was gang raped in Ayodhya, with the DNA samples of two defendants, Moid Khan and his servant Raju Khan.

In relation to the rape case, the two were taken into custody by the Uttar Pradesh police on July 30 from the Pura Kalandar neighbourhood of the Ayodhya district.

The two raped the girl and recorded it, according to Ayodhya police. The girl’s pregnancy was discovered, which led to the revelation of the incident.

Following Moid’s assertion that he was wrongfully accused, the court had requested access to the DNA report.

The next hearing date has been set by the court for October 3.
