The government asserts that these marshals are crucial for ensuring a secure atmosphere for women on buses and their reintroduction can help reduce occurrences of molestation, crime, and violence.
In his correspondence, the Chief Minister emphasized the urgency of addressing the matter and asked the Lieutenant Governor to examine it from a humanitarian angle. The Delhi government has prioritized this matter concerning women’s safety, emphasizing the reinstatement of bus marshals.
