The Delhi Police, who are probing the largest-ever cocaine haul in the city valued at over Rs 7,000 crore, have issued look-out circulars (LOCs) for six people. Among them is a British citizen of Indian descent who had already left the country before the recent confiscation of 208 kg of cocaine worth over Rs 2,000 crore from a leased store in west Delhi. As per information from the police, Savinder Singh, a British citizen, came to India the previous month to supervise the shipping and arrival of a 208 kg package suspected to originate from South America.
Reports show that Singh stayed in three separate places in Delhi for approximately 25 days before fleeing to the UK following the arrest of four syndicate members on October 2. Currently, we have released LOCs for six individuals, including some who are foreign citizens. A police officer involved in the investigation stated that one individual stored 208 kg of cocaine in Ramesh Nagar, west Delhi, before fleeing to the UK.
The officer also mentioned that the police are monitoring twelve individuals believed to be connected to the syndicate. The Delhi Police had previously issued a look-out circular (LOC) for Dubai-based businessman Virender Basoya, also known as Veeru, who is suspected of being linked to the over Rs 5,000 crore cocaine consignment discovered in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur last week.
It is claimed that Basoya ran the syndicate in cooperation with Tushar Goyal in India and Jitender Gill, also known as Jassi, and Savinder Singh in the UK. Police officials say that Basoya and Singh have not been caught yet, although Goyal and Gill have already been arrested. The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches in various places in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai on Friday in connection with the drug bust by the Delhi Police. Throughout these activities, the organization located and confiscated multiple pieces of evidence.
