In Lucknow’s Chinhat, businessman Mohit Pandey is in police custody. Politics has escalated over his death. Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak and a member of Samajwadi Party visited Mohit Pandey’s family. UP Deputy CM met with the family and assured them of justice. Simultaneously, MLA Yogesh Shukla from BJP’s Bakshi Ka Talab constituency presented a Rs 10 lakh cheque to Sushma, Mohit’s wife.
Metropolitan President Anand Devedi and Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak both attended the event. While this was happening, he stated that the government will always support the family of the victim. If senior officials are found to be negligent, they will also face consequences. He mentioned that the culprits in this case will be arrested to deliver justice to the victim’s family. Every perpetrator will be held accountable. Prior to this, a group from the Samajwadi Party also visited Mohit’s residence.
Pooja Shukla from the SP, along with party representative Fakrul Hasan, accompanied the Samajwadi Party delegation. While this was happening, the SP leaders presented a Rs 1 lakh cheque to Mohit’s wife on behalf of party president Akhilesh Yadav. Following this, Akhilesh Yadav has indirectly criticized the government through subtle actions, without specifically mentioning any names.
He expressed his desire for those responsible for his death to give their own life in return. He mentioned that a team from SP also visited Mohit’s family and provided them with a monetary help of Rs 1 lakh.
Mohit Pandey, who lives in Jainabad, was arrested by the police on Saturday in a particular case. Mohit’s health declined while in custody and he passed away while receiving medical treatment at the hospital on the same day. Mohit’s family has alleged that the police killed him through physical abuse.
At the same time, on Monday morning, Mohit Pandey’s mother Tapeshwari Devi, along with his wife and child, visited CM Yogi at his official residence to convey their distress. CM Yogi reassured the family of the victim that strict action will be taken against the culprits. The Chief Minister also provided a sum of ten lakh rupees as compensation to the victim’s family, along with housing and free education benefits for their children. Instructions have been given to avail government schemes as well.
