In the Raisen district located in Madhya Pradesh, a person accused of chanting Pakistan Zindabad has been directed to say “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as a unique punishment. The individual being accused is Faizal also known as Faizan, who chanted slogans supporting Pakistan.
An FIR was filed against the accused at Misrod police station in Bhopal on May 17, 2024. Following the investigation, a charge sheet was additionally submitted in the court room for trial. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has now given him bail under certain conditions with a bond requirement of Rs 50,000.
The individual who shouted anti-national slogans must now salute the national flag at the police station and say “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” 21 times on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month from 10am to 12pm.
The accused must adhere to this regulation throughout the duration of his trial. His bail will be revoked if he breaches these terms and conditions. The Bhopal Police Commissioner has been directed to confirm if the accused is complying with the terms and conditions and to record it on video.
According to the High Court order, the accused must show up at Misrod Police Station in Bhopal on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 am to 12 noon.
He must shout “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” 21 times as he salutes the flag raised on the police station building. This requirement must be included in the accused’s bail documents.
