Baba Siddiqui, a former Maharashtra minister, was killed. As the investigation advances, startling revelations about the case are emerging. The Mumbai crime branch, with a 66-year-old investigator, is looking into the leader’s murder. Until now, it has been discovered that the conspirators are causing disruptions in unexpected locations, taking action from arrival to murder and escape with a well-thought-out plan.
Up to now, four suspects linked to the Baba Siddiqui homicide case have been taken into custody. These individuals are said to be the shooters: Gurmel Baljit Singh (23) from Haryana and Dharamraj Rajesh Kashyap (19) from Uttar Pradesh. Harishkumar Balakram Nishad (23) and Praveen Lonkar, who are co-conspirators, are currently detained by the police. Nishad and Kashyap hail from the identical village as the wanted criminal Shivkumar Gautam.
The shooters who took Baba Siddiqui’s life – Gurmel Singh (23) and Dharamraj Kashyap (19) – were reported by police sources to have had 65 bullets with them during the incident. Six bullets were fired at Baba Siddiqui by them.
While being questioned, the defendant stated that the alleged assailant Shivkumar Gautam had acquired shooting skills from ‘Harsh firing’ at weddings in Uttar Pradesh. He was awarded the job of primary shooter because of his expertise in handling a pistol.
A policeman stated that Gautam had provided firearm instruction to Kashyap and Singh in a leased residence in the Kurla neighborhood of Mumbai where they simulated shooting a pistol without ammunition. The officer mentioned that they picked up the skill of loading and unloading bullets in the gun from YouTube tutorials over a period of around four weeks. Because there was no available area for shooting practice, they would instead conduct it inside the room.
While questioning the suspect, it emerged that the gunmen had intended to change their attire following their assault on Baba Siddiqui. In similar circumstances, one of the apprehended gunmen had altered his clothing prior to being captured. Gautam had a shirt in his bag that was discovered near the crime scene, along with a weapon and some documents.
The investigating officials report that the suspect intended to arrive at the crime location using the same motorcycle they had previously used to survey the NCP leader’s home and workplace. However, on the day of the assault, two of the suspects had a mishap on the bicycle, so they took an auto rickshaw to Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office. They stood outside the office waiting for Baba Siddiqui for an hour and immediately started shooting when he exited.
The official stated that Praveen Lonkar transferred Rs 60,000 to Harishkumar Nishad’s account, who then bought a second-hand bike for Rs 32,000. In the investigation, it was discovered that all the suspects communicated with each other using social media platforms such as Snapchat and Instagram.
